The World Environment Day.. we had a great time at school. I had a Chemistry exam, not too tough, as i followed my plan yesterday.. though not too success.. Our school gave one plant per student from 5th to 9th std classes (not for us) each should plant those plants in their house.. quiet interesting task, hope it will work fine.. then we had physics practicals last hour, quiet funny, we had to prove the Ohm's law, we copied others book and completed the practical and next was to draw the Mapping of magnetic field. I did that well .. then i went to Accel Frontline, nadakkav to get my brothers mobile repaired.. then finaly reached home by 5:15.. no plan yet to cope up with my plan..lol. tomorrow we have Maths exam on Differentiation. I knw nothing as usual. i will try to study now.. and got some other assignments too.... totally today was a fine day for me.....

So.. as a part of a small change.. i am goin to implement a small planning in my life. I will be returning from school everyday by 4:45 pm.. i will roam around for 15 min, check my emails and then bath.. till 5 30. then i will be studying my daily school lessons till 9. then have my food, finally i will be studying javascript at night. Thats not all, i plan to wake up atleast 5 in the morning and study atleast an hour ... oh my god.. this my plan, make this plan alive.. please help me ...

Well , its 6 months since i have blogged.. its really a long gap!!.. so wat happend to me all these months? .. In January as usual we had class, enjoyed and blasted. I got my own mobile phone LG KG110 with AirTel connection
February, a great month, we had our school tour to Mysore, Ooty, and Veegaland. Well it was really a great time. All enjoyed it very much. We where about to have the exams, march first week itself..
We had exams till March 15 or so, (a terrible one ), ie the annual exam of first year. Then i had my second surgery for my teeth. was a bit serious. Later it was (repaired). Then our 2nd year classes started. Lots of practicals, stupid classes. etc..... till march last.
In April I went to Thrissur for my Entrance coaching at PC Thomas classes ( a real waste of time, but it was a time for enjoyment with frinds ). We used to jump from the hostel every night to drink milk shakes, mostly mango. Classes are from 8 am to 5 pm everyday, including Sundays. A big thing happend from there, i proposed one my friends lol even though it was a failure, i did well in that.. and it was a great experience. Two of my cousin sisters got married same month. One of the Groom works in CTS and the other in Nokia.
May. Well, another stupid month. Rain started by the half. Then had classes till 3 from 9:15. As usual wastes my time surfing some tech sites and not even trying any experiments ... but i started off with js.. quiet easy one...
From tomorrow on my official 2nd year classes starts.. from 9:15 to 3:45.. As usual i hope to waste more time and make history... jst kidding.. i will try to study my lessons...
Our school, Silver Hills Higher Secondary School, is the only school in Calicut to get 100% pass in the Secondary Examination. I am proud to be a student of this school

So.. the rumors are true, blackcomb is now Vienna. Its expected to be released by 2010. Actually Windows Vienna is the new codename for Windows Blackcomb the successor to Windows Vista. Several features originally planned for Windows Vista may be part of "Vienna", though they may be released independently when they are finished.

Another interesting feature mentioned by Bill Gates is "a pervasive typing line that will recognize the sentence that [the user is] typing in." The implications of this could be as simple as a "complete as you type" function as found in most modern search engines or as complex as being able to give verbal commands to the PC without any concern for syntax. This former feature has been incorporated to an extent in Windows Vista.

Microsoft has stated that "Vienna" will be available in both 32-bit and 64-bit for the client version, in order to ease the industry's transition from 32-bit to 64-bit computing. Vienna Server is expected to support only 64-bit server systems. There will be continued backward compatibility with 32-bit applications, but 16-bit Windows and MS-DOS applications will not be supported as in Windows Vista 64-bit versions.

The release date for Vienna is estimated to be anywhere between 2010 and 2012. Still, Vista hasn't even been released yet, and Vienna seems a long way off.

As a part of beta testing of Google Apps for Domain, i tried the gmail first. I had some troubles with the spam in the cpanel webmail. I then changed the MX entry as per seen the google apps for domain site, Then i waited 48 hours for activation. Then i activated the mail, chat, calender, start page etc. Then within an hour i found the spam folder being filled up with nearly 300 spam mails. This shows that the spam protection offered by gmail is the best, and i recommend anyone using webmail as mail client for your domain, shall shift it to gmail without any hesitation.

So.. exams are going on these days.. i am very busy with " Studies ". I had an Micro Vascular Surgery for my left ring finger last month.. and now my hand is almost ok... i also have a few tips to increase the performance of Windows Vista.. I recommend this for Vista Ultimate, Home Premium and Business users only.


1. The computer's ram MUST BE 2 GB or more for the best performance. I have 1 GB ram and according to the Performance Informations and Tools utility in Vista, my rating is only 3.9 out of 6. Thats not so good. Even though 1 GB ram seems to be faster, it will not support so many applications to run at single time. The computer uses nearly 480 MB RAM for just running. If photoshop is running it will also take another 200 MB and the scratch board of it takes much more. So 2 GB ram is my recommendation.

2. The Graphic card should support Pixel Shader v 3.0 or more. I found a problem when i switch to 3d Flip, while running a movie. It was having some graphics problem and the video was lagging too much. Media player's performance in playing DVD was not so good. But all these where cleared on a Pixel Shader 3.0 graphics card. I recommend a nVidia graphics card. And dont go for integrated graphics.

3. The processor shall be a 64bit one. It will considerably increase the speed and performance of the Vista. Also install the 64bit version of Vista. Dual core processors are much recommended and Core 2 Duo would be the best option.

4. The Hard Disk shall be of Serial ATA. It will increase the data transfer rate much more than Parallel ATA. If you have a SATA and a PATA in a single pc you can feel the difference.

A few more suggestion will there after my exams are over. Also, being a beta tester of Virtual PC 2007, i have a few remarks on that software. First of all let the exams get over.

I upgraded my entire pc , i bought the things and assembled my self . there were some difficulties at the beginning, but soon it was rectified. now i am able to assemble any computer within a few hours

240 GB HDD (80 + 160)
384 MB Graphics card ATi Radeon ( 128 dedicated +256 shared)
also got new Keyboard and Mouse (Logitech)
